This month we talking about exercise for the person who hates exercising. Doctor Sheremeta, what are some of the health benefits of physical activity?
We all kind of know the heart health benefits, we know, we all know that it reduces cholesterol, lowers blood pressure, it does help reduce diabetes risks, and also people who are diabetic can actually take less medication if they start moving around and being more active. Ive actually had patients were able to go off their diabetic medications, because they were doing activity. It does help with bone and joint help, so obviously we do see the risk of osteoporosis. We can look at certain types of cancers that it can help reduce the risk of. For women it decreases the chances for endometriosis.
