This month were talking about exercise for the person who hates exercising. Doctor Sheremeta, when people tell you they hate to exercise, what do you respond?
Most people think exercising means you have to run or do something hard, or be sweating. You don’t. Most of the health benefits you can get, you can actually get from just doing activity. So it doesn’t have to be that hard core, “I’ve got to get to the gym, I’ve got to be on the stair master, I’ve got to do that hard stuff”. It’s as simply as walking your dog, gardening, mowing the lawn…(although there aren’t lawns here in Tucson) umm you know, playing with your kids, vacuuming, anything that gets your butt up and off the couch counts as activity.
