Who benefits from the donations?
Pima County Health Department’s Well Woman HealthCheck Program. This program helps low-income, uninsured and under-insured women gain access to breast cancer screening and diagnostic services including clinical breast exams and mammograms.

Breast Cancer Statistics:

About 1 in 8 US women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime (about 12% of women who live to the age of 80).

Over 230,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women every year in the US. Almost 40,000 women in the US die each year from breast cancer…only lung cancer kills more women.

The good news is that breast cancer death rates have been decreasing since 1990- especially in women under 50. Advancement in treatment, earlier detection through screening and increased awareness all play a role in more women surviving breast cancer.
