In rural Thailand, the buffalo is revered by farmers and symbolizes work, patience, strength, and loyalty. In the big cities of Thailand, the word "Buffalo" has taken on another meaning - a derogatory way of describing someone from the provinces; someone who works hard but doesn't think or talk much. This is the story of two young girls, Stam and Pet, to whom both definitions apply.
